Programmes for schools
The sea as a classroom
We offer activity programmes for schools and education centres, for pupils aged 6 to 18, with a special emphasis on environmental education, sailing and sport in a natural setting: the marine environment.
Using a fundamentally hands-on approach, we create a group atmosphere that brings out the sense of adventure and the enjoyment of discovering sailing techniques. The bonds formed through spending time together and building the experience as a group help bring the group together and boost learning.
For the sailing activities, the school has a team of Royal Spanish Sailing Federation instructors, sailors with wide racing experience and a coordinator who sets the teaching and organisational guidelines.
A full day in school hours
Combined watersports day
A mix of kayaking, dinghy sailing, windsurfing, sailors’ knot workshops, a navigation and winds workshop and beach games, in small groups. We put special emphasis on participants getting to know and respecting the marine environment they will be spending the day in.

Half day
Three 1-hour blocks or two 90-minute blocks, plus a snack break.
Full day
Three 2-hour blocks or four 90-minute blocks, plus snack and lunch breaks.
The timetable and schedule can be adapted. You are welcome to suggest alternatives: Grímpola undertakes to look at them and fit its services to what you need.
Watersports + accommodation package
- Theory and practical course in sailing, windsurfing and kayaking with qualified instructors and approved equipment suitable for school pupils.
- Half-board accommodation (ask for details).
- Safety equipment.
- Public liability and accident insurance.
- Course notes and certificate.
During their stay, pupils have full use of the services at the Grímpola facilities, such as changing rooms and classrooms. Accommodation is in a beachfront hotel.

What ages are the school programmes for?
For pupils aged 6 to 18, from schools and education centres.
How much does a watersports day cost for a school?
The half-day package costs between €8 and €14 per person, and the full-day package between €12 and €16 per person, depending on the activities chosen.
How are groups organised?
Pupils are split into small groups at a ratio of 1 to 5, depending on the capacity of the boats and the activity. The timetable and schedule can be adapted.
What facilities are there for pupils?
At the facilities, right on the beach, pupils have changing rooms, space to store their bags and a shaded picnic area for a snack or lunch.
Are there discounts for companies and associations?
Yes. Grímpola offers reduced prices on its activities for large groups, companies, clubs and professional associations. Ask for the terms using the form.
