Why the sea works for a team

On the water nobody can do it all alone. That turns every activity into a small team exercise:

• Communication: in a double kayak or a sailing dinghy you have to work together to head the same way.
• Clear roles: in sailing every crew member has a job, and the boat only moves if everyone does theirs.
• Trust: learning something new at the same time puts the whole group on a level, whatever their job title.

What your team can do

At Grímpola we use the same activities we teach at the school, combined in small groups that rotate:

• Dinghy sailing and catamaran: crew work, wind and manoeuvres.
• Kayaking: single, double or triple. Ideal for coordination challenges.
• Paddle boarding: balance and fun, suitable for complete beginners.
• Windsurfing: a more technical challenge for the bold.
• Beach games: to round the day off as a team.

No previous experience is needed: instructors adapt every activity to the group’s level.

Prices for companies

Group activities start from €8 per person, depending on the format and activities chosen. On top of that, Grímpola offers special prices for large groups, companies, organisations and professional associations. Send us the number of people and your preferred date, and we will send you a quote.

Facilities and safety

• A natural, sheltered bay between Isla de Adentro and the marina, with shallow water.
• Lifejackets are compulsory throughout every session on the water.
• Qualified instructors with long experience of teaching watersports.
• Changing rooms with showers, space to leave bags and a shaded picnic area.
• All technical equipment is provided by the school.

How to organise it

3. Choose the format and activities with our help.
4. Receive the proposal and confirm.
5. On the day, just turn up with your swimwear and enthusiasm.

What participants should bring: swimwear and water shoes, sun protection, a cap, a spare T-shirt and, if they have them, sunglasses. You need to be able to swim.

Do we need any experience? No. Activities are adapted to each group’s level and instructors teach from scratch.
